Die Sammelmünze „Miragaia longicollum“, Teil der Serie „Dinosaurier von Portugal“, verfügt über Freigabeberechtigung für Zahlungen in Portugal.
Die Münze aus Kupfernickellegierung wird einen Nennwert von 5 Euro haben.
Der Vertrieb an die Öffentlichkeit erfolgt über Kreditinstitute, Schatzstellen der Banco de Portugal und Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda-Filialen.
Auf der Vorderseite der Münze ist das Dinosaurierfossil „Miragaia longicollum“ spiralförmig abgebildet; in der Mitte der Nennwert und das Staatswappen; und am linken Rand die Aufschriften „Portugal“ und „2023“.
Auf der Rückseite erscheint der Dinosaurier in frontaler Position mit Kopf und Schwanz zur rechten Seite gedreht; in der unteren Zone, als Silhouette, die Darstellung des Bodens und eines Wäldchens; am linken Rand die Angabe des Autors und die Überschrift „Casa da Moeda“; und am rechten Rand der wissenschaftliche Name der Art, „Miragaia longicollum“.
Nach Angaben der Bank von Portugal werden 30.000 Münzen mit normaler Oberfläche ausgegeben.
